Tennis Club Solaro, campi da tennis a Sanremo

The Solaro Tennis Club started its activities on the 28th February, 1977 with the establishment of the Solaro Sporting Club S.p.A, chaired by Mr. Giuseppe Fassola, creator and builder of the sports complex. In 1979, the Tennis Club was regularly affiliated to the Italian Tennis Federation, under the chairmanship of Mr Giuseppe Fasola, with the name of Tennis Club Solaro.
The club's official inauguration took place at the presence of Mayor Osvaldo Vento and Fr. Luigi Ruschena on the 12th July 1980. The Club's first years were doubtlessly its most glorious ones thanks to the high quality of the tennis events organised, which have made it known and appreciated by all enthusiasts.

July 1980 – Male ATP Tournament - Price money: 10,000 dollars.
6-12 June 1981 – Male ATP Tournament Price money: 25,000 dollars.

The Solaro Tennis Club returned to the international centre stage in 1996 as the main venue of the European Junior Individual Tennis Championships 14 & Under in collaboration with the Sanremo Tennis Club, which have been organised for six consecutive years until their last edition in 2001 and are doubtlessly the most prestigious youth tennis event in the world.
